Tuesday, September 16th Ms. Morrison’s class created bug boxes out of shoe boxes. We have been discussing reduce, reuse, recycle in science so we decided to reuse old shoe boxes so we could observe bugs.
We cut large openings into our boxes and covered the openings with plastic wrap to make an observation window. Then we poked some air holes into our boxes. Finally it was time to catch our bugs!
We found a worm, a beetle, and a grasshopper. We discussed similarities and difference, created a venn diagram and then let our bugs go.
It was a lot of fun observing our creepy crawlies!
